My dog, Halen the ibizan hound, loves to run. This colored pencil drawing was fun to do because of his happy expression when gets a chance to do what he loves to do. I also tried to capture the sense of movement in his legs and sometimes completely airborne.
This is a miniature oil painting on a 5x5 canvas of an Irish wolfhound. I love doing miniatures and my references photo was from years ago when I worked for a pet shop.

Oil
This
painting is of a friend of mine in Vail, Arizona who has the life I
always dreamed of- she is a true cowgirl. This will be the second
painting of mine hanging in her house. The first was an oil painting of
her bunnies. Visit her Etsy store where she sells her beautiful jewelry
at www.etsy.com.shop/heartofacowgirl
Have you seen any of these lately? We all hope
to see them to remind us that spring is soon here. This is an oil I
painted from Rita Morgan's beautiful photo. Thanks Rita!
I joined a sight call "Paint My Photo" and found the reference photo for this colored pencil painting. The dogs name is Beau and he is a young Irish Setter. I really enjoyed this portrait.
I painted this red hen from my own photo I took while I was visiting in Vero Beach, Florida. This hen was one of many that supplied the farmer's market with fresh farm eggs to sell.
