My second painting of the challenge was started before the end of 2013 but was finished today and framed and delivered to Hanover Art Guild as my entry into the members show"Through Any Window". The title is "On the Outside looking In" from my own photo of Deb Nell's sheltie, Riley.

 I have accepted the challenge, Leslie Saeta's 30 paintings in 30 days! Being January 1st, this is painting #1 of "The Bug Man" owned by Jimmy Eckman who granted permission to use his photo.

I am so excited and honored to have my art included in this book along with some of the most accomplished colored pencil artist. I received my hard copy in the mail today. What a great Christmas present.

Meet "Lulu" the Shihtzu. I photographed her at a dog sporting event then created her portrait in colored pencil and pastel.

The breed of this dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback which I photographed at a sighthound event I attended with my sighthound.  Named for the ridge of hair on their back that grows in the opposite direction.

Been working on several new paintings and this is one titled "On the Hill" from a reference photo by Steve Lyddon  from the United Kingdom with his permission.
