Red Fox Encounter

18x42
Oil
I have been working on this oil painting since November in between commissions and all my other activities and I have finally decided it was finished. I am not sure if I like the photo I have taken and might try to photograph it again. Painting wolves and foxes are similar to painting dogs so I challenge myself to try to paint them in their natural enviornment. Send inquires to charlotteswebart@comcast.net

Standard Schnauzer Christmas Card

This is an acrylic painting for a Christmas card design for my friend who breeds and shows Standard Schnauzers. For the past 13 years, I create a design from Dana's idea and her Christmas cards are printed from it. This year she said create something where Santa is laying down with puppies around him.Click here to see my greeting card store.

Zebra Look by Charlotte Yealey

15x20
Acrylic and Colored Pencil
This Lake Tobias zebra did not want to turn around to get his picture taken but he kept his eye on me.
I am not too satisfied with the stripes-they made my eyes cross. I am trying acrylic with other mediums to get the detail I love to create.

11x14
graphite
It is hard to believe that my grandson turned 18 years old yesterday and of course, I created a portrait of him for his birthday. Some day he will look back on these portraits and think of me.

"Cousins" Oil Painting by Charlotte Yealey

12x16
Oil on gessoed board
My reference photo for this painting was one I took back in 1985 during a family picnic at my sister's home near Glenville. My daughter, Danielle with her older cousin Steve and her younger cousin, Bess. The wooded lot that their house sits on is surrounded by beautiful country farmland. This photo has been on my "have to paint" list for a long time and I am glad I finally took the time to paint it.

Horse Portrait by Charlotte Yealey

30x24
Acrylic and Colored Pencil
In my attempt to paint larger, I created this head study of a horse that belongs to a Civil War re-enactor. I enjoyed the new size and had to decide when to stop.
