English Horse Head Dress oil painting

4x4 oil painting

One of the miniatures that I have been working on for a Miniature show in Chambersburg. This is a 4x4 oil painting done from my own reference photo taken at a horse show at Swan Lake Stables in Littlestown. I liked the horse's head dress but is actually a netting to keep the flies off the horses ears.

Misty Morning

This painting is now available. I painted this from my reference photos from years ago of a pasture that I passed by every day. The cattle had a small creek and lush green grass with many trees for shade and they always seemed so happy.

American Staffordshire Terrier Colored Pencil

11x13 colored pencil

I recently attended a dog sporting event with my dog and even though we were participants, I always have my camera with me to capture images for future paintings, The event was for sighthounds but a couple arrived at the event with their three dogs but one was not a sighthound. I  saw how well behaved their three dogs were and it made me feel good that this couple cared enough to train and socialize their dogs to be able to mingle with people and other dogs especially this girl that I photographed then did this colored pencil drawing of. This looked to be a American Staffordshire terrier as they are known in the American Kennel Club and she  was very happy and pleasant to everyone and all dogs she greeted. This breed has gotten a bad reputation but I still feel that if you do not take the time to train and socialize any breed, you can not blame the dog for poor behavior.
