Day 25 of the 30 paintings in 30 days is another self portrait with Rosie, my Borzoi the passed in 2011. The photos I used was taken during a therapy dog visit to a camp in York in 2008.
Day 18 of the 30 paintings in 30 days is a pastel of Danielle and ToTo her shihtzu. I took the photo used as reference for this patel in 1988 at Codorus State Park.
Day #7 of the "30 Paintings in 30 Days" challenge is a pastel from my photo of Dylan and Sheeka the cockatiel back in 2009. Sheeka was a very gentle bird and loved to sit on the socialize with people.

Fisher. The exhibit runs thru December 27th.
Tonight I received an Honorable Mention award

show in Mechanicsburg from Judge Laurin McCracken
Just found out my "Pears in a Bowl" was accepted into the Keystone National Juried Exhibit at the Mechanicburg Art Center in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Choosen by juror Laurin McCracken.
This is a new pastel that I just finished. It is a little bit different for me but I wanted to paint from my photo I took on a trip to Annapolis last year. I liked the colorful outdoor cafe and of course there is a dog in it. Looks like a Chow Chow.
This is a quick pastel I painted from a photo I took years ago of a young cow voicing it's opinion on how I was taking this photo. You can find this cow's closeup on products in Zazzle store.www.zazzle.com/charlotteswebart
This is Debra Nell's cat who wanted in her strawbale house during our art reception this May. This kitty made lots of friends that day and was allowed in to join the party. This pastel was a welcome break from from two oil painting commissions I have going right now.
Pastel 8-1/2 x 12 This is one of my paintings on display at the Hanover Area Art Guild where I am Artist of the Month for February. The theme for my display in the "Artist of the Month" window is about the love and affection we have for our pets. I really love showing that connection people and their pets share in my paintings. Check out the guild's web page at www.hanoverareaarts.com
For my second daily painting I chose a photo from my landscape photo reference file of a pasture. I did not include the fence on the photo and I added a mare and her foal from another reference photo. The sky was blue with no clouds but I added some fluffy ones for a more interesting painting. I completed this is 2-1/2 hours and I feel I over worked it a bit. I don't feel the baby horse is believable.
6x9 Pastel I love painting birds! If you have a favorite, let me know and I will paint it. See this image on various products at: www.zazzle.com/charlotteswebart
