When I am painting a cat, I feel calm, content and peasceful just like a cat. Painting them is my therapy. The reference photo for this painting was taken by me, in my studio as I took a break from painting and saw that my 16 year old cat was watching me.

One good thing about snow storms is that I get a lot of work done since time slows down when the roads are snow covered. This is Finn and Allure, two standard poodles drawn with prismacolor colored pencils on Strathmore Bristol.

I just completed this drawing of my dearly departed greyhound. We adopted her in 1993 and laid her to rest in 2005. She was a racing greyhound that became the sweetest therapy dog with her quiet nature and loving desire to be petted. She wore these rose colored sun glasses to visits which made everyone smile.
