While at a dog agility trial, I observed and photographed this beagle patiently waiting for something from his owner. Was it verbal instructions, was it a "good boy" reward or was it a treat?

Years ago while vacationing in Ocean City Maryland we drove to Assateague Island looking for the feral ponies. We stopped along the road to watch a pony graze along the road side but did not realize from behind our car came several ponies walking along side the road. It was a stallion with his mares and they passed right next to our car. What a great photo opportunity. This painting is of one of the mares.
